Gnome 3 vs Unity

Yesterday a read a nice review about differences between Gnome 3 and Unity

I tried Ubuntu with Unity once... I didn't like it.

Also I found that Ubuntu is really unreliable when it comes time to dist-upgrade, so I went back the old but stable Debian.

Now Gnome 3 is not in Debian stable release and I don't want to mess up my working environment so to test it I installed Fedora16 and I do like it.

  • Cons: less customization
  • Pros: clean look

I like that you can't put anything on desktop, I saw several times desktops full of icons that actually you can't even see the nice wallpaper they have in the background.
